The world of psychic spirits is full of mystery and unexplained phenomena. By using precise terms to give meaning to our ghostbusting experiences, we gain clarity.
These are the key terms used in the paranormal.
1. Poltergeist. This word comes from the German language and means strong spirit. Poltergeist activity is always noisy. During it, the spirits make their presence known through actions such as rattling cupboards, creating distorted sounds on televisions and radios, and often causing the sound of music to emanate from the core when no one is around nothing that manifests sound.
It is often the case that a ghost wants to contact a living person to convey an important message. Frustration on the part of the spirit entity is normal, as there is a great gap in the channels of communication between the living and spirit worlds. There are psychics who can communicate directly with ethereal spirit and tune in astral messages like a finely tuned radio dial picks up music.
2. Haunted houses. This is a home for ghosts and entities that stay and refuse to leave the place. Unexplained phenomena such as hearing footsteps when no one is in sight, a cold room where the walls feel cold to the touch, and a strange feeling as if you have someone watching you even though no one is there.
Haunted house watchers point out that any kind of paranormal psychic activity occurs between midnight and four in the morning. Old wives’ tales say that witches and wizards are more common at this time. Others note that there is much less human and electrical disturbance as most people are asleep at this time and allow the spirit voices to be heard.
3. Psychic imprints. When visiting a famous battlefield that happened during the American Civil War, my friend commented that he could feel the deceased soldiers now in the spirit world around him. There are legends of soldiers caught between this world and the area beyond where ordinary people go after death. This is a soldier who served in battle, who died violently and experienced a slow and torturous physical death. The soldier is dead and they are dead but they are not dead in the normal way that most people use the term.
After many agonizing deaths in battle, strong emotional imprints are left on the location of the battlefield. Even centuries later, when people visit a famous historical site known for its carnage and savagery, they can feel the sadness and pain in the air that occurred decades ago.
4. Possession by demons. This happens when a negative spirit invades and takes over a human being and uses it as a host. The demon overcomes the mind of its victim and makes his thoughts the only ones that completely change the character of the former personality. It is very different from psychic attack, from which it is much easier to defend against, since in psychic attacks the attack is from without, while in demonic possession the sufferer has infiltrated from inside
